How about a quickie?

Oh stop you naughty Nuggetiers, I don’t write posts about those kinds of quickies. This is about a quick giveaway and about getting a quick fix of your daily chocolate in under 100 calories with fiber tossed in for good measure. 

The folks at My Blog Spark contacted me WAY back in January asking if I’d like to try out the new Fiber One 90 Calorie Chewy Bars. My answer, “Oh heck yeah!”. What the didn’t know is that Fiber One bars were already my thang. Yup I love me the chewy chocolate Fiber One bar so much in fact I have to hide them from my 16 year old son who will eat a whole box in one sitting. Little thieving bum! So I was keen to see if the 90 Calorie version was just going to be the “mini me” version of the real thing. I was pleasantly surprised. The bar is “normal” size and oh boy is it yummers. 
 
It’s available in flavors like, chocolate and chocolate peanut butter. With only 90 calories and 2.5 grams of fat, its a “mommy needs less butt” BONUS! Plus each serving is packed with 5, yes FIVE, grams of fiber. That’s about 20% of what you need to get in your diet daily. Though I’m a big fan of broccoli I’d rather eat two of these puppies for the fiber than suffer the pungent side effects of mass broccoli consumption. Even though I was provided with product for this review, I tell ya I would have done this post anyway because I love Fiber One Chewy bars that much {shh don’t tell though cuz I dig the free stuff}.

  1. I have been on a power bar kick lately. Toffee and chocolate has been the prevailing fav. I am game to try anything that is 90 cals and has fiber. Have to agree with you on the broccoli comment (not conducive to working in an office).

  2. Actually, this is my sons favorite snack. I cannot be out of stock on Fiber One bars here. Ever. lol. I love them too….the PB and Oats. But also, lately I've loved snacking on a big salad.

    My favorite snack is apple slices (I only eat the crunchiest of apples, though) with thinly sliced Vermont cheddar cheese on them! Yum, Yum, Yum!!!!
