National Fallen Firefighters Foundation

This is a Hero
This is a person who
will run into a burning building to save you
This is a father who
has breathed life back into others children as they lay dying
This is a man who
has dedicated over 30 years to saving lives

is my Dad
Battalion Chief Tim Reel of the El Centro California Fire Department
(who will someday retire and move closer to the kids and I, HINT!)
In his honor and to honor all those that stand with him to protect us I’m proud to use my blog to help spread the word about Baskin-Robbins’ “31 Cent Scoop Night”.

Baskin-Robbins has partnered with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) and is donating $100,000 to the organization to further support the firefighting community. The NFFF honors America’s fallen fire heroes and their families by developing and expanding programs to recognize fallen heroes and assist their families and co-workers.  Area firefighters will be at local Baskin-Robbins stores teaching children and their families fire safety tips and enjoying ice cream with their community.  It’s a fun, inexpensive way for families to spend time with each other and get to know the men and women who dedicate themselves to protecting their community every day.

Who: Everyone!
What: Baskin-Robbins 31 Cent Scoop Night.  31 cents per 2.5oz scoop – any flavor!
Where: All Baskin-Robbins locations nationwide
When: Wednesday, April 28 from 5pm – 10pm
Why: To serve those who serve others: Baskin-Robbins has partnered with the NFFF who support families and co-workers of fallen firefighters
The Inside Scoop: Looking for a flavor to try?  Fan favorite Cotton Candy is April’s Flavor of the Month.

This pink and purple Cotton Candy-flavored ice cream is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. My kids love this one. I’m still a Rocky Road kind of girl though I dig Jamocha Almond Fudge too.

So since it’s usually YOU tell ME Tuesday around here, how about you tell me what your favorite flavor is? I’d love to share pictures of Nuggetiers getting out there and supporting Firefighters in your home towns. Send me pictures and I’ll be proud to post them.

  1. Bummed we do not have a BR here and the one in Yuma is gone also. But to everyone else EAT UP & SUPPORT! My favorite flavor forever & ever is Peanutbutter & Chocolate. My hubby is Vanilla (31 flavors and all the boy can pick is vanilla). Enjoy, and remember if it is for a good cause you can't get fat. In fact it will make you lose weight the more you eat. 😉

  2. YES he is, Thanks to ALL our Firefighters. Everyday looking out for our Safety. Jesus said, "Greater love hath no man than this,… (John 15:13)
