When I was a kid growing up in the sticks of Southern California I used to love digging around for fossils and arrowheads. Granted I usually just ended up with old pull tabs from beer cans and petrified wildlife droppings but it was the search that was compelling. Over the Memorial Day weekend the DH and I schlepped the brood to Baltimore’s charming Charm City inner harbor and the Maryland Science Center. Looks like the kids dig the diggin’ too!
Even if you don’t live anywhere near Baltimore I’d wager there is some sort of hands-on museum near you. Grab the kids and GO! It’s totally worth it.
My family and I were guests of the Maryland Science Center. That said I was not asked to write this post, Whrrl the story or purchase a billboard. I wrote the post because I honestly believe in the power of inspiring kids with learning through play.
