Desperately Seeking Santa

Tis all most the night before Christmas. Soon the children shall be nestled all snug in their beds.

Cha, right!

I don’t know about your kids, but mine are pretty tech savvy and they put those skills to good use starting around noon every December 24th… with a little help from our pals at NORAD (North American Aerospace Defence Command) that is. The NORAD Santa Tracker has been a tradition in this house for nearly ten years.

Because, really what kid doesn’t put the military industrial complex to work in an effort to track down that jolly old elf… right?

Ah, but the folks at NORAD don’t make the magic happen all on their own these days. In fact, this year marks the fifth year that they’ll be getting a hand from the awesome that is OnStar. When I say, “Awesome” I mean it too. I couldn’t find my way out of a paper sack, and the folks at OnStar have gotten me to where I needed to be more than once.

We won’t talk about the time I went the wrong way down a one-way street while I was talking to my OnStar adviser, it wasn’t his fault. I blame Barb and Carissa.

If you’re looking to up the magic factor in your house, or make the believing last just a little bit longer, I highly recommend checking out NORAD’s Santa Tracker. I suspect that my oldest might even still believe, so what if he is a twenty year old US Marine?

disclosure: This post was NOT compensated in any way. My family really does love the NORAD Santa Tracker and we use it every year. Merry Christmas!
